I have never been to the Czech Republic before, but right before I wanted to visit my daughter in Lower Austria last weekend, I have seen some photos of the Moravian Tuscany / Moravské Toskánsko on Instagram and immediately knew I have to see it with my own eyes ...

These photos on IG were beautiful and so I thought I could give it a try and drive for some more hours to Czechia and have a look at these rolling hills. I didn't have enough time so see all the famous views there, but I have seen enough in the couple of hours driving around in South Moravia to know that I'll go there soon again.
The lone tree below was the first nice scene I have seen before I arrived in the actual area of the Moravian Tuscany. The field was right beside the road and luckily there was a farm track where I could park my car to take some photos like this one and the one at the end of the post. The scene reminded me on the Windows XP wallpaper.

Trees along the road blocked my view, but a little gap offered me this scene and luckily I found a place to park the car. These are three photos, but edited slightly different - I'm not sure which looks best to me. There were quite some deer in the fields, but I don't think you can see them in the images.

Rolling hills ...

The following scene was on another hill very far away from my viewpoint, so the long zoom lens came very handy. It somehow never leaves my backpack, and although it's quite heavy, I rather sweat a bit more carrying it than miss a shot like the ones below.

It was a quite bright sunny day, but these fluffy clouds helped shaping the landscape and the rolling hills nicely.

A closer version of the first image - I have searched for this place online, but haven't found many photos on the Internet. Most people seem to visit the well known spots only.

The next photo is the new wallpaper on my smartphone - it looks great and I don't think I'll replace it soon ... maybe after my next visit to the Moravian Tuscany :)

It was only a short visit to this amazingly beautiful place, but soon I'll return and hopefully spend more time ... maybe even visit the obvious and well known photo spots.
